Who is afraid of winter?

By: Sarah Petrin

Who is afraid of winter?

Who is afraid of the storm?

Who knows, when the wind blows, and the snow comes

How to stay warm?

Who can say, when the lights will go dim, and the power is out

How long will it be, until it warms?

When will the light come?

Who will accompany me in this storm?

It is I, says the wind

I am here, says the trees

The gentle howl of the night, when all has gone still

Whispers, all is well

I am here, says the spirit of all things

There is no need for distraction

There is no need for speed

I am here, says the snow

I make everything bright

Let me be your light.
